After many months of contemplating, I finally took a bite out of a macaron!

For those of you who are unsure.. there's actually a difference between a macaron and a macaroon.

Macaron  (Left)
A sweet meringue-based confectionery commonly filled with ganache, buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two cookies.

Macaroon (Right)
A cookie made with egg white, sugar, and ground almonds or coconut.

We got our macarons from Pique Nique at Takashimaya Department Store. They have an assorted range of pasteries from cakes to macarons.. and kawaii packaging to boot!
If you like sweeter tasting macarons, then you'll probably like theirs. However, it might be too sweet for some? It's just nice for me since I have a sweet tooth ;)
