Mummy Exhibition at the ArtScience Museum
8:10 PMHalf of the term has flown pass in a flash and I realise I haven't been doing anything with my social life.
I'm basically a mountain turtle right now.
The only free time I have is limited to weekends now... And it might become revision weekends soon enough. Economics and whatnot, please take a step back from my life would you?
There's a mountain of project works and homework waiting for me and I can't be bothered anymore.
Leave me aloneee :(
So over the weekends I spent most of my time with Dan 'cos we didn't really get to meet much over the busy weekdays. GET WHAT I MEAN ALREADY?
This path is arduous but I gotta walk this route since I chose it, although how much I'm trying to pull myself back.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder.
Took a trip to town 'cos we're gonna see the Mummy exhibition!
Did I mention that I love historical stuff?
Really interesting stuff like Greek mythology, ancient wars, traditional ways of life and of course, the secrets of embalming in Ancient Egypt.
Amazing view that never ceases to leave me in awe.
I have no idea what I was doing here...
The whole experience was pretty surreal. At every corner, there'll be ancient artifacts dating back to the ancient Egyptian periods.
I knew most of the stuff already through online research (haha, google my best friend).
But to see the actual thing in real life was just mind-blowing. Some of the artifacts even had their noses broken off! I'm actually amazed that they can even last this long...
Anyway, no photography is allowed in the exhibition. So you have to check out the exhibition for yourself!
If you're really into Ancient Egypt's history then this is definitely a must to see.
One of the more interesting artifacts was a mummified kitten encased in bundles of cloth that formed the figure of a cat. Apparently cats were pretty important back then. If you were an Egyptian of higher nobility, your cats would receive more extensive and better mummification.
It looks like the one on the right.
A 3D show will be screened before you go in to see the artifacts.
It has pretty interesting information so keep your eyes peeled during the show!
Here's us looking goofy with the cute 3d specs provided! :P
Before you enter the exhibition, there's a booth where you get to dress up (like in other exhibition of the ArtScience Museum) and purchase the photos at exorbitant prices.
Not worth it though. After the HP exhibition, we learnt our lesson and decided not to.
Of course after the show we HAD to take photos with the decorations outside.
No worries, it's free-for-all! Hehe :D
Caught the beautiful sunset on our way out.
Proof that Singapore is really pretty even with the high-rise buildings and technology all around us.
Our stomachs were growling by then so we had yumyumz Aston for dinz.
Dan's No.1 choice recently.
And I present to you....
The Singaporean.
Tastes as good as it looks! Omgosh this is making me hungry even though I just had dinner.
If you wanna know more about the exhibition, check out their website at
There's also a fun activity for those below 16 years old, something like an adventure hunt.
Freaking hilarious 'cos we thought we were still in that age group, and almost went over to sign up HAHA.
It might get boring just viewing the exhibitions, so maybe you might want to sign up for adventure hunt. (?)
It was pretty cute seeing all the children scrambling to draw the pictures on their scrap books.
Thanks for reading, loves xoxo.
