Mooncake Hunt

7:49 PM

Holidays have already started so what excuse do I have right D;
Before leaving for overseas I had already finished editing my photos but I never found the time to use my laptop to do up a blogpost. In fact, I think I haven't touched it since the sem ended o_o.
I'm kicking my lazy bone away and am up and going now!

Dan & I have little outings for small events like for every month when it hits 8th, or when there is something to celebrate. So I thought of wearing something nicer to go out with, even though after that we got really bored and decided to slack instead (haha).

Got ourselves a whole box of Coronets from Beard Papa's. I especially love the ones with chocolate filings!

A dress with my short hair seemed weird at first but I thought it really gave my outfit a unique feminine look. But I don't think I'll be wearing them often though :(

HAHA SORREH. This was indeed taken during the Mooncake Festival period. Look on the brighter side!! Rows of colourful decorations that you can feast your eyes upon ;)

Wore this pair of wedges out but they gave up on me :(. Had to buy a new pair and the new one is so much more prettier and goes so well with my outfit and other floral clothing!

Hehe unseen #ootd ?

Although I said I may not be wearing dresses anytime soon, this combination is just tooooo sweet that I can't wait to find an occasion for it soon.

On another Mooncake hunt day, I went out with Momsie and Dan~ It was pretty much a Momsie x Boyfie day but things went well, waaaay better than expected.

We had lunch at a restaurant in NEX. It's pretty cool! You order a set and get to mix all the ingredients inside individually to cook them in the soup. Stuff which take longer to cook will go in first (meat) and veggies would be last etc.

All mixed up!

So after that we did our mooncake shopping at Takashimaya's mooncake fare. There were so many prettaye ones that we were so spoilt for choice. I love Snowskin Mooncake the most! Don't you love the soft outerskin as compared to the traditional ones? I find the latter hard and difficult to swallow :(

& I absolutely detest eggs in my mooncake. Actually, I really do not like egg yolks at all. They taste weird to me x.x.

Making my favourite Snowskin Mooncakes right before our eyes.

I'm thinking that we probably bought much more than we can eat... D:

So many years have passed since I last actually celebrated the Mooncake Festival. The last time I ever did so was during Primary School with my bunch of good friends at night and we were lighting up lanterns, playing with fire (naughty kids). Thankfully, no one got hurt.

Now all I do on the festival is eat mooncakes... Haha where's the worth anymore.
If only those days would return, or even become better, where the spirit of the festival would come alight and bask the people in its happiness and laughter.
