Final seconds one three

4:14 PM

Hello all! How were the last moments of two oh one three for you? Never mind that, 2014 has come to our doorsteps so all we gotta do is embrace the new year and make sure it'll be more fun than the last! Don't forget to start writing your dates with the year 2014 now.

I spent my last day with my one and only (fml, so cheesy). We couldn't do much because I fell sick on the 30th and I barely recovered when New Years' Eve came. But we didn't give it much thought (at least I didn't although I was coughing and sneezing like nobody's business) and went on a Churros date. The previous day we went all the way to the other end of Singapore to get 3 large servings of churros from Churrosity. Before we even reached the MRT station half of it was gone haha (shit).

We googled for the nearest place to get our Churros fix.  And ended up here, at
Max Brenner's Chocolate Bar.
The both of us got so tempted by all the pictures on Instagram so we made a beeline for the place.

A plate is $16, and there is a choice of 2 chocolates with Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate to choose from. We got the former two.
The chocolate was really good. We even asked for a spoon to finish up all that goodness hahaha.
On the other hand, their churros was much more fluffier inside and had less crunch than Churrosity and USS'. After some time it became quite hard and tough to bite through, a big no-no in my book. Us loving a crunchy bite, we felt that it didn't delight our tastebuds as much as we hoped it would.

After that we went for Skinny Pizza. We tried the season's special pizza, the Samonella one. Oh, how disappointed we were. After all that rave about the restaurant we had our hopes too high. All I could taste was saltiness from the Salmon and that was all. It was a sad dinner for us ._.

Aside from all that food, Dan finally got me something I've wanted for the longest time... I contemplated there for about 15 mins lol. It was such a tough choice considering all the pretty designs I was definitely spoilt for choice! But I'm so glad Dan patiently waited and helped me make my decision finally. My first ever Craftholic soft toy that I'm hugging as I write this blogpost hehe.

This is the alien I have brought back from the world of Craft!! Welcome to the family!

This might sound weird but... His name is Alexander, Alex or Xander for short. That was the first name I thought of so I'm sticking with it. Hahaha, since I'm already this far in I might as well give the plushie a name right? >w<
He is my new bedside buddy now. The fur is absolutely resilient and vibrantly coloured and soft and smooth (omgosh!) I love it to the core. It is also the most comfortable thing to hug to sleep at night. Thank you for the gift ;).

Now the curtains of 2013 are finally drawn.
The past year has taught me so much, I've learn from many but now it's time to make way for a new beginning. Thank you for coming back to read although I update pretty infrequently. But I'll do my best from now on hehe. Look forward to a new me in 2014!
