Mandom Sale Review: Heavy Rotation Creamy Cheeks & Koji LineQueen

9:16 PM

Last month, I went for a crazy Mandom Sale where they deducted prices over 70%. Dollywink lashes that cost $24.90 in stores were being sold at $5 there. But fml, by the time I was there on the second day they were OOS (much to my dismay, but no surprise there). Stuff were going as low as $3 to $10 it was literally a madness down there. So I got a few stuff from the Sale: some I absolutely love and others which was a buy went wrong. In this blogpost I'll be reviewing two of the items that I bought and have tried so far.

Heavy Rotation Creamy Cheeks

During the sale, one of the promoters had applied it on my hand to test it out and it came out really nice. There are 3 colours: #1, #2 and #3. I was recommended #3 Peachy Pink for my skin tone and lucky me managed to get the last one out there! It it also the pinkest and brightest one of the three. I like to apply pigmented pink blushes because they do fade off in the process of the day, leaving a faint natural blush.

This has become a favourite of mine with its easy application and bright pigmented colour~
Just dab a few dots onto the apples of your cheekbones and spread the blusher gently across with the tip of your fingers. The colour may seem harsh initially, but as I said, it does fade off and becomes this sweet, natural blush.

Price:
It was $5.00, so freakin' cheap I can't even.

Colour:
Very pigmented, bright, purplish sort of pink that is really in trend now. Perfect for bringing some colour to washed foundation faces (that is really common in Singapore nowadays actually).

Application:
Extremely simple application, but not exactly hygienic since using your fingers to blend in the blusher is probably the best option to go for instead of using a brush.

It has of course, become my favourite cream blusher at the moment!!

Koji LineQueen Super Fit Liner in Dark Brown

After reading some reviews of other Koji eyeliners being quite good, I decided to take buy this eyeliner. Furthermore, one of the sales girl also applied it on her hand and showed me how easy application was so I was pretty much sold. However, after trying it myself I was really disappointed with this product.

Before and After rubbing the eyeliner with a tissue once.

Before and After rubbing the eyeliner with a tissue twice.

As you can see, it comes off extremely easily. I first found out when I started to curl my eyelashes and realised afterwards that half of my eyeliner was gone (imagine my confusion omg). I have now put it aside and never will be able to see a use for an eyeliner that rubs off the second something is placed to it. :(

Price:
Considered quite reasonable for an eyeliner, but so not worth the price. (Or any money at all)

Colour:
It is a brown that could come off subtle or thick, dark depending on the amount of pressure. I really like the colour and that's partially why I bought it too (*sobs, disappointed really.)

Application:
It seemed so easily applied on my the back of my palms but when it came to draw the eyeliner IT WAS SO TOUGH. You know how the ink from a non-permanent marker slowly dissolves when you write against glass or any plastic material? That's how it was.

Purchase this at your risk. Or read my review and save yourself from alot of heartbreak.
